"So abortion is really the only choice she has in this matter..."

Is this pro-choice or pro-abortion?

This same blogger (who feels that her friend's only choice is to have an abortion) had a miscarriage and said, "there's not a day that passes where i don't feel the incredible hurt of losing a child, and not just any child, but the child of my best friend of 4 years....as sad as it is, it's probably the best thing that could've happened. after the miscarraige, i named the unborn embryo Skyler. i will keep him in my heart, always.
mommy loves you, skyler. "

She has also previously given birth and made an adoption plan for that child and had an abortion.

  1. Thanks for the link. I've blogged on it myself.

This girl has more problems than just being pregnant. She can't think much of herself if she's having sex with a guy that a rational person would fear to approach for change for the pay phone!

Why is the message, "Just say no to sex with losers" considered so prudish? It's just like warning you to wear your seatbelt and get a tetanus shot. It's simple common sense!

  2. BTW, I've been banned! My suggestion that an adoption plan might be helpful was viewed with great animosity. One must toe the line: if ANYBODY thinks abortion is a good idea for a women, then ONLY abortion is acceptable! We must research the clinics, make the appointment, and hustle her off! No words to the contrary can be tolerated!

    Abortion uber alles.

I agree that this so-called "friend" was making the choice for her, based on a "I know what's good for her" attitude. And there's underlying problems, which need to be addressed, in addition to the unplanned pregnacy.

    Granny Grump,
Weelll...you might have come off as saying adoption is always a positive option, which drew strong reactions from those who have experienced otherwise (which is why it's a good idea to avoid using absolutes in that every experience is different) However the attitude in towards adoption in that community is rather a negative one (i.e. viewing it as a baby market) and just the opposite extreme (there can't ever be a positive adoption experience). However, adoption shouldn't have to be a negative experience and diffently shouldn't be coerced. Just as with abortion, a woman considering adoption should receive thorough counseling to make sure adoption is the right decision and to help her with any loss or grief issues.

  4. Interesting how someone saying abortion is the obvious and only choice isn't ban worthy but mentioning the possibility of adoption is.
